Passing Through

I remember when I was a young girl of twelve I heard a woman speak in church. I remember one thing from her speech and it was “You have one chance to pass through this world, make the best of it.”  I don’t know why it stuck with me all of these years. But it became my motto in college and it still is to this day. Passing through…hmm…it tells me to enjoy and live while I’m here.  Some may say, enjoy the bad and good.  Yes! Life is precious.  There’s so much to see and do.  You don’t have to go far.  Look out into your backyard and see the beauty of life, the birds, squirrels and the children playing.  Yes, I’m passing through but I’m definitely only enjoy while I’m here.
