Death Has No Victory

In the last few weeks, television star, a congressman and a man from my company past away on foreign soil.  I thought about it and wondered why so far from home?  What makes these men similar and then different? All were on vacation and neither seem to have any known illnesses. They were from different classes of life. But that doesn’t matter. Death doesn’t have favorites. When it comes it brings overwhelming sadness, pain, devastation and sometimes relief. We, who are left behind, very seldom think about the relief of the person who may have been in pain but the effect of the passing on family and friends. But I do believe that in another time, another life we will see that loved one again.  In that case, death has no victory.
